ENGL 101 ENGLISH COMPOSITION-I
In English 101 students will learn to write clear, unified, coherent, and well-developed essays of increasing complexity. Through
reading, writing, and discussion, they will critically examine their own assumptions and opinions and consider the facts and
reasoning of others. Students successfully completing English 101 should be adequately prepared to succeed in the second
college-level composition course, English 102. Prerequisite: ASSET score 44 or above, English 075 with a minimum grade of S, or ESL
